Tech Lead – Shape the Future of Clinical Research Software
Join us in creating a healthier world.
Who we are and what we do:
At Viedoc, we design engaging software that modernizes clinical research so that necessary treatments can reach the people who need them faster.
We accomplish this by combining technology and a creative design to streamline, automate and simplify conventional processes within clinical research. Simply put, Viedoc makes every aspect of a clinical study a bit smoother, resulting in greater discoveries that make a difference, and has the potential to improve lives.
Real change means challenging the status quo – our driving force since we started almost two decades ago. In everything we do, we work for a healthier world, searching for better, more efficient solutions that answer to the needs of both our users and humanity.
What you will do and why:
As a Tech Lead, you will serve as the technical leader in one of our cross-functional product teams, working closely with developers, testers, and a dedicated Product Manager to take ideas from concept to production.
You’ll play a central role in shaping our technical direction, making architectural decisions, mentoring developers, and ensuring the systems we build are scalable, secure, and maintainable. This is a hands-on leadership role where your ability to guide both people and technology is key.
We are currently in a transition phase, strengthening our team autonomy, data-informed decision-making, and DevOps mindset - and we want you to be a key driver in that journey.
You will also help drive our integration strategy, designing and implementing robust, scalable APIs, ensuring smooth communication between microservices, and fostering a modern architecture that supports growth and flexibility.
This means you will be responsible for:
- Leading the team’s technical design and execution from concept to production
- Coaching and mentoring developers, encouraging clean code, sustainable practices, and continuous learning
- Partnering with the PM to co-lead the team’s roadmap, delivery, and operational responsibilities
- Driving improvements in CI/CD, observability, and overall system reliability
- Taking ownership of architectural decisions with a focus on API design, integrations, microservice communication, security, performance, and scalability
- Taking ownership of the team’s architectural decisions, with focus on security, performance, and scalability
- Acting as the technical voice in stakeholder discussions and cross-team forums
- Fostering an agile, feedback-driven culture, through sprint planning, retrospectives, and collaborative decision-making
- Exploring and evaluating how AI-powered solutions can enhance efficiency, automation, and product value
Who are you?
You are a senior engineer or architect who enjoys solving complex problems through code, architecture, and collaboration. You're motivated by creating long-term value, not just shipping fast and you're curious by nature.
You’re comfortable taking technical ownership and leading others, but you’re also humble enough to learn and adjust. You’re passionate about building software that has real-world impact and helping others do the same.
We also believe you have:
- 7+ years of experience working with .NET, C#, and ASP.NET Core
- Proven experience in technical leadership — as a Tech Lead, Senior Developer, or Software Architect
- Strong background in cloud-native systems (preferably Azure), modern software architecture, and API design
- Demonstrated experience with system integrations, microservice architecture, and building reliable communication between distributed systems
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, monitoring tools, and containerized environments
- Familiarity with DevOps principles, Infrastructure-as-Code, and “You build it, you run it” culture
- Excellent communication skills, especially when navigating between tech and business
- Relevant education or equivalent professional experience
- A genuine interest in AI, with the ability to discuss and evaluate when and how AI should (or shouldn’t) be used
Bonus if you have:
- Experience with regulated environments such as Life Science or MedTech
- Worked in SaaS product companies or built platforms at scale
- Experience with frontend frameworks like React/TypeScript (not required)
